You can configure the survey to collect the information you need to know about a prospect, far beyond Name, Address and Phone Number. Lets say you sell office supplies. You could make one of your survey questions, "What type of Office Supplies are you interested in?"
Then the magic happens. Based upon their answer, you can automatically subscribe them to some automated email series' (with their permission of course as we don't want to be spammers!) which could then educate them on the particulate options available in the Office Supplies they are interested in that warrants follow up information.
For example you may make a follow up series for the larger ticket items like Office Furniture, or Photo Copiers, but not bother if their answer was pens, paper and pencils.
Now when we say follow up series, we mean it. SalesPersonDream won't just send them an email today, you can have it continue to follow up with them on their particular needs as often as you like for as long as you like.
You will be amazed how many communicate back to you by email thanking you profusely for your amazing service and letting you know when they are ready to make a purchase.
Then of course you combine the use of automated email follow up by also setting when the next date to follow up by phone is, and what priority they are compared to your other customers or prospects.
